Back in the 90s, standard maintenance was being done on the Thunder Valley area of Alton Towers. However, this excavation revealed a creature living underground that they called Nemesis. She was an alien predator from another dimension, sleeping in the ground, dormant till she was revealed. Towers tried to contain Nemesis, but it was to no avail. She fed and destroyed her area, and Thunder Valley was closed until further notice.

But in 1994, a private military organization called 'The Phalanx' was mobilized to contain Nemesis. They trapped her in 250 pounds of steel (Nemesis Track.) Thunder Valley was reopened and rethemed to Forbidden Valley, the Nemesis containment site.

In 2022, The Phalanx observed Nemesis becoming agitated. They were doing research on her eggs, saliva, etc, and planning to launch military products using resources gathered from her, and she had enough. She became dangerous again, killing Phalanx CEO, John Dalton, and other Phalanx men. She even kidnapped an Alton Towers security guard named Percy.

Forbidden Valley was again closed until further notice, and The Phalanx replaced her containment track and reopened Nemesis as 'Nemesis Reborn.' Nemesis is now agitated and awake during the ride cycle.
